On Using Multi Agent Systems in Cognitive Radio Networks: A Survey

In the last decade, cognitive radio technology received a lot of consideration for spectrum optimization. This issue creates huge opportunities for interesting research and development in a wide range of applications. This paper presents a state of the art on cognitive radio researches especially works using multi-agent systems. The authors propose among others a classification of cognitive radio proposals based on multi-agent concept and point out the pros and cons for each of the described approach. Wireless networks have shown an impressive progression these past few years. Their fast evolution arise a much larger need for spectrum resources. Consequently, new efficient approaches for spectrum resources allocation must be implemented.
