Optimal Investment Strategies for SMEs in the Aftermath of the Global Crisis
This paper is to provide a quantitative framework for developing investment strategies for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) under crisis conditions. SMEs from emerging economies have experienced critical situations in 2009, a year that brought about multiple shocks for businesses. It has become essential to observe a set of basic values such as the profit margin per sold item and the market share. Maintaining the market share is essential in economic crisis situations when the decreasing demand for goods and services is simultaneous with the fluctuation of prices.
