Vehicular Ad hoc NETworks (VANETs) are self-organizing ad hoc networks that are specifically designed for communication among vehicles. Vehicles are themselves the nodes in the ad hoc network. In VANETs, a source node relies on intermediate nodes to route its packets along multiple hops to the destination node. The movement of nodes may cause links to break. Rough Set Theory (RST) which is a mathematical tool to deal with vagueness and uncertainty is applied earlier through routing in Mobile Ad hoc NETworks (MANETs) using Variable Precision Rough Sets Weight Temporal (VPRS-WT) protocol.
