Starting from classical distributed detection, large efforts in the recent literature have been devoted to the implementation of distributed detection in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). Local decisions in a WSN are usually transmitted to a Decision Fusion Center (DFC) in order to improve reliability of geographically distributed sensing through central processing.
