Most of the communications in the century is accomplished through the wireless medium. There are various standards for simultaneous running of different applications. WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) is a common wireless communication standard. Among the five bands announced by IEEE in 802.11 standards for wireless LAN, two most common bands are 2.4 GHz and 5.2 GHz. In this paper, an antenna is designed for 5.2 GHz WLAN applications. To remove the problem of mismatching at coaxial feeding, an approach of improving the matching performance is studied.
