IBM has for several years been employing a read/write usage of linked data as an architectural style for integrating a suite of applications. The authors are encouraged by the work done by the W3C linked data platform working group which is chartered to produce a W3C Recommendation for HTTP (HyperText Transfer Protocol)-based (RESTful) application integration patterns using read/write linked data. The linked data platform recommendation will provide the industry with a solid foundation to build on.
