In various application domains, there is a desire to standardize modeling techniques. Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) is currently the most widespread language used for modeling Business Processes (BP). Although there are some guidelines how to use this notation, the issue of modeling technique is not standardized. The same semantics can be represented in BPMN using various but behaviorally equivalent model structures. In this paper, the authors present an overview of the BPMN models equivalences topic.
