Phishing is a semantic attack that impersonates a trusted website to gain the user's sensitive data. In order to cope with the semantic attacks launched by the phishers, in this paper, the authors present a novel method to detect the phishing webpages semantically. According to the linguistic characteristics that appeared in the phishing pages, they first propose the phishing domain ontology and its corresponding description model, Phishing Descriptive Model (PDM). Then the PDM is defined by Semantic Element (SE) and Semantic Relationship (SR).
