In high performance aircraft, spacecraft & missile applications, where size, weight, performance, ease of installation & aerodynamic profile are constraints, low profile antenna are required. Commercial applications such as wireless & mobile radio communication also have same specifications. To meet these requirements, MSA is used. These antennas are low profile, simple, inexpensive to manufacture using printed circuit board. This paper provides a detailed study of how to design and fabricate a Rectangular Microstrip Patch Antenna using IE3D software operating at 2.5 GHz. For the calculation of Length (L) & Width (W) of Antenna, Transmission Line model analysis is used. For the excitation of antenna, Probe type fed arrangement is used.
