Mobile Ad-hoc NETwork (MANET) is an infrastructure-less, multi-hop network. The nodes in these network are mobile nodes such as mobile phones, laptops etc. In these networks, as the nodes are mobile hence topology of the network changes dynamically. Mobile Ad-hoc NETwork (MANET) is an active research area these days. In this paper, AODV protocol is extended by adding Quality of Service (QoS) constraint on AODV. The two protocols i.e. AODV and QAODV, are then compared on parameter metric such as packet delivery ratio, average end-to-end delay, total dropped packet and throughput.
