Radio Resource Management (RRM) is the system level control of co-channel interference and other radio transmission characteristics in wireless communication systems. In this paper, the authors first analyze a Utility Function Based Access Selection (UFAS) method. Then they have investigated a radio resource management and network selection scheme in heterogeneous wireless network. They propose an economic model to allocate radio resources for Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) networks and Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN). Moreover they have formulated and solve the optimization problem in WLAN and CDMA networks and simulate those equations using MATLAB.
