Mobile Ad-hoc NETwork (MANET) is an idea in wireless communications, which means that users willing to communicate form a temporary network, without any kind of centralized administration. Each node participating in the network acts both as host and a router and must therefore is willing to forward packets to other nodes. In MANET, all nodes are energy constrained. In this purpose an energy efficient routing protocol is required. In this paper, the authors study the different energy efficient management schemes for MANET, Compare the performances of these schemes and finally they conclude a batter scheme for future research.
