Performance Analysis of WiMAX Physical Layer for Various Modulation Schemes
The Worldwide interoperability for microwave access (WiMAX) based on IEEE 802.16, has been one of the most important technologies in communication networks providing voice, data and video services with different type of QoS (Quality of Service) during last few years. This paper is to evaluate, analyze and compare the performance of a WiMAX physical layer under different modulation schemes based on SNR. The simulator encompasses the blocks that build the physical layer of IEEE 802.16e. BER results are presented with varying SNR under different digital modulations.
