Performance Comparison of Smart Frame Control Protocol for Coexistence of Zigbee and WLAN
The ISM spectrum is still interesting area and becoming more and more popular in wireless networks such as ZigBee and Wi-Fi. However, the coexistence of such heterogeneous wireless systems is still an open challenge. ZigBee and Wi-Fi devices are increasingly located in the same environment which makes the coexistence problem more and more challenging and critical. In this paper, the authors undertake a theoretical study for co-existence of Wi-Fi and ZigBee based on the various approaches available in literature objective is to optimize channel/bandwidth utilization of the 802.15.4 network while at the same time minimizing interference.
