Wireless Mesh Networks (WMNs) are a radio-based network technology that has gained considerable importance in network research community. It is a multi-hop wireless access network where nodes can act both as a host as well as a router. One of the factors that influence the performance of WMNs is the underlying routing protocol used. Thus, numbers of different routing protocols are proposed in recent years. There is a need to understand the versatile behavioral aspects of these routing protocols in a wireless mesh network with varying traffic loads, the number of sources and speed.
