Performance Evaluation of Tree - Based Multicast Routing Protocols in MANETs

Multicasting plays a crucial role in many applications of MANETs. It can significantly improve the performance of the networks. This paper proposes the comparison of MAODV and ADMR protocol. MAODV improves the QoS parameters like throughput, delivery ratio, end-to-end delay as compared to the ADMR. The objective of a multicast routing protocol for Mobile Ad hoc NETworks (MANETs) is to support the dissemination of information from a sender to all the receivers of a multicast group, while trying to use the available bandwidth efficiently in the presence of frequent topology changes.
