A ransomware attack can be initiated at scale, as seen in the ‘WannaCry’ ransomware attack that affected over 200,000 computers and over 150 countries in May 2017.

Worldwide spend is expected to reach $90 billion in 2017, which is an increase of more than 7% from 2016. Cybersecurity spend is going to continue to increase, expected to top $113 billion by 2020.
