Emerging multimedia services like immersive environments, IPTV applications, video conferencing, and 3D virtual world requires reliable communication even in high mobility in heterogeneous network environment, denser area and in cell edges. WiMAX 16m, provides seamless application connectivity to other mobile network and other IP networks like LTE and WLAN. In WiMAX 16m networks, buffer allocation is the major problem to be handled for offering Quality of Service (QoS). The lack of buffers increases the packet loss and queuing delay. In order to overcome these issues, in this paper, the authors propose a QoS specific adaptive dynamic buffer management QADBM for WiMAX 16m networks. This scheme is comprised of Dynamic Buffer management block which is incorporated with scheduling intelligence.
