The current quality-of-service multicast routing algorithms based on ant agents don't consider the impact of the uncertainty of network state on routing performance. In terms of this fact, a novel ant agent-based multicast routing algorithm with quality-of-service guarantees is proposed in this paper, which works for packet-switching networks where the network state is uncertain. In this scheme, ant agent uses the probability that a link satisfies quality-of-service requirements and the cost of a path instead of the ant agent's trip-time or age to determine the amount of pheromone to deposit, such that it has a simpler migration process, less control parameters and the ability that tolerates the uncertainty of network state.
