In this paper, the authors present a Resource Description Framework (RDF)-based mechanism for resource sharing in wired/wireless mixed networks via peer-to-peer protocols, which is called as MBRDF. This newly proposed mechanism can benefit to the resource sharing in the heterogeneous network environments. In MBRDF, all nodes in the system are organized as a peer-to-peer infrastructure and divided into certain groups according to their properties, such as wired or wireless connection, in which the nodes hold the same type resources.
