Multiplication is a very important operation in DSP applications. The power efficient multiplier is essential due to the increased demand in expanding computing and communication operations which offers a better power reduction. Most of the multiplication algorithms are based on the Baugh Wooley or Booth. This algorithm is widely used in digital filters, Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT), convolution, wavelet transform and other important DSP (Digital Signal Processor) related multimedia applications, etc. In digital signal processing applications requires flexible working ability, less power and higher performance system so that modifications are needed to meet all these requirements.
