In this paper, the authors focus on the relationship between globalization and the adoption of a particular set of ICTs, namely the Internet and electronic commerce, at the firm level. The findings show that Globalization has differential effects on business to business and business to customer e-commerce, however highly global firms are more likely to do business to business but less likely to do business to customer. The relationship between globalization and e-Commerce is complex and varied. The global firms use the technology more intensively, engaging in a wider variety of e-commerce activities than less global firms.
