The raise of mobility has make more needs for wireless connectivity and bandwidth. As years passes wireless networks were rapidly improved, introducing new applications and services, as well as important challenges for mobility support. This research field is new with many researchers and scientists making their proposals to optimize the provision of multiple services to the mobile users. In this paper, this survey paper studies research approaches from the following topics: cognitive radio networks, interactive broadcasting, energy efficient networks, cloud computing and resource management.
