Cloud computing is a rapidly emerging technology which involves deployment of various services like software, web services and virtualized infrastructure, as a product on public, private or hybrid clouds on lease basis. Cloud storage can be an attractive means of outsourcing the day-to-day management of data, but ultimately the responsibility and liability for that data falls on the company that owns the data, not the hosting provider.
