The multi-hop routing in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) offers little protection against identity deception through replaying routing information. An attacker can use this opportunity to create various harmful and devastating attacks against the routing protocols, including Sybil attacks, betrayal attacks and new comer attacks and spoofing attacks. In case of mobile networks this situation can even worsen the network routing. Normally practiced cryptographic techniques or trust-aware routing protocols do not effectively address this severe problem. In order to secure the WSNs against attackers misdirecting the multi-hop routing, TARF, a trust-aware routing framework is designed and implemented for dynamic WSNs.
