Robust Biometrics Based on Palmprint

In this paper, the authors present an overview of the fundamentals of personal authentication based on hand geometry measurements and palm print features. Researchers have used some complex methods or algorithms like Quadratic Spline function of Wavelet transform (QSW),Voronoi diagram, Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM), Radial Basis Function neural networks (RBF), k-Nearest Neighbor (k-NN), Bayes method etc. It is essential to develop an algorithm, which is less complex, however more accurate. Biometric systems that operate using any single biometric characteristic have some limitations that can be overcome by using multiple biometric modalities.wer
