The Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 was signed by the President and became law on July 30, 2002. This article covers various sections provided in this Act. Some of the sections which have been discussed include: Commission rules and enforcement, establishment of Board membership, establishment of duties of the board, Commission review of disciplinary action taken by the board, corporate responsibility for financial reports and many more. All these provisions have been discussed in detail. Thus, all the provisions in the act play a very important role in its implementation and provide a strong base to the organization.
