Security Attacks: Vulnerability in Ad Hoc Networks

Ad hoc networks are a new paradigm of wireless communication for mobile hosts, Ad hoc. They are usually set up in situations of emergency, for temporary operations or simply if there are no resources to set up elaborate networks. There are various challenges that are faced in the Ad hoc environment. The wireless nature of communication and lack of any security infrastructure raise several security problems. This paper outlines vulnerabilities to security attacks which are an important challenge in design of theses networks and a detailed classification of threats against ad hoc networks.
