Lightweight security protocols are considered to be a promising security strategy for RFID. There is a special kind of tag, called a write-once/read-many low-cost tag, which has no computational capability and can be considered to be the most limited system. This makes the existing security schemes of no use. The authors propose a new concept called \"Computation transfer\", based on which a security protocol for the write-once/read-many low-cost tag is proposed at the same time.
