In this proposed paper, a control of permanent magnet synchronous motor by using an artificial neural network and the motor is supplied by the voltage source inverter. The inverter gate pulses are controlled by using an artificial neural network. In the proposed system, the speed of the PMSM and the inverter output power are regulated. The system is based on the single artificial neuron which in turn minimizes complexity and computational burden requirements. The maximum power factor is obtained.
