Single Layer Monopole Microstrip Antenna for X-Band Application
A microstrip patch antenna for X band is designed and thoroughly simulated in this paper. The designed antenna is worked at resonant frequency of 10.24 GHz in X band and that can be used in Satellite Communication for radars. It is shown that the simulated results are in acceptable agreement. More importantly, it is also shown that the microstrip antenna has higher gain of simulated 6.42 dBi at 10.24GHz and very low return losses -42.014 dB at 10.24 GHz. Bandwidth of 0.120 GHz and a VSWR of 0.1378d.
