In this paper the authors provide a survey on the existing proposals in the field of reconfigurable Multi-Threading architectures (MT). Until now, the reconfigurable architectures have been classified according to implementation or architectural criteria, but never based on their MT capabilities. More specifically, they identify reconfigurable architectures that provide implicit, explicit or no architectural support for MT. Further subdivision of these three classes is also provided by the proposed taxonomy. For each of the proposals, they discuss the conceptual model, the limitations and the typical application domains.
