Stimulating Cooperation in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks Using Cut Diamond With Diamond Method

In recent years, mobile ad-hoc networks have become very popular because of their widespread usage. Cooperation among the nodes in adhoc networks is an important issue for communication to be possible. But some nodes do not cooperate in communication and saves their energy. These nodes are called as selfish nodes. In this paper, there are many methods which deal with the selfish behavior of the nodes. This paper proposes an approach based on incentive mechanism in a different manner. Here nodes are "Made" selfish for some time to encourage nodes to cooperate in the communication. This reduces selfish behavior.
