Communication Systems are governed by several random factors. In packetized communication systems, the system performance is controlled by arrival pattern and transmission strategy. In this paper, the authors introduced and analyze a two node communication network with the assumption that the arrivals are characterized by compound binomial Poisson process. Here, it is further assumed that the dynamic bandwidth allocation strategy of transmission is adopted and the two nodes are connected in tandem with phase type transmission in each node. The system performance is analyzed by deriving the explicit expressions for the performance measures and numerical illustrations.
