Centralized data centers are feeling the heat, with so many people across the globe trying to access the same data files at the same time. This leads to severe bottlenecks and hence far greater response time, a result unacceptable by most. Also, we expect data to be served to us on a platter – that is to say, at the instant of a touch or a click, if not earlier. This is simply the order of the day. Our lives depend on the data made available by the networks.
