Study on Hardware Parallel Computing Method of Wavelet Transform Based on FIR Filter
In this paper, hardware procedures of wavelet transform for two-dimension image by FIR filter accelerating decomposition/reconfiguration is proposed. Eight tapping transposition FIR filters are used to design Daubechies decomposing, and reconfiguration computations IP core. Testing shows the result of image that is processed by hardware IP core of wavelet decomposition reconstruction is almost the same as the original image. The total time of two levels of wavelet decomposition consuming is only increases by 5.561% than personal computer computing time.
