The substance (context) information in the context-aware systems may be about human, entity and computing situations has a powerful temporal aspect i.e. for a specific period of time it remains valid. This property can be exploited in caching mechanisms that desired to exploit such locality of reference. Substance information the substance information has varying temporal validity durations and a varied spectrum of access frequencies. This variation affects the suitability of a single caching strategy and an ideal caching mechanism should utilize dynamic strategies based on the type of substance data, access patterns and quality of service heuristics and frequencies of context consuming applications.
