Grid computing is a high performance computing environment which is responsible for solving large-scale computational problems. The authors can see computational grids as a next generation computing which is a collection of heterogeneous computing resources connected by a network across geographically dispersed domains to form a distributed high performance computing environment. In Grid computing one of the integral phase is, mapping of task to efficient and best suitable resource. An efficient Grid scheduling is one which maximizes the resource utilization rate and minimizes the processing time of the tasks. Various research has been done on task scheduling, but still further analysis and research needs to be explored to improve the performance of computational Grid that will capable of achieving intended goals.
