The Case for OpenStack in the Enterprise Private Cloud

A little over a year ago, Cisco introduced the idea of an Intercloud to the public. The term “Intercloud” means that there are many flavors of clouds in use today, and that they are somehow connected. The vision is quite simple: there are enterprise private clouds, cloud-based services (usually but not always SaaS), managed service providers, and of course the giant commodity clouds such as AWS and Azure.
