For mobile wireless sensor networks, a scheduling scheme is needed so that the nodes can disseminate data as much as possible and conserve enough energy to fulfill the application's requirement. This paper studies the AODV in WSN and then the adaptive duty cycle scheduling algorithm is designed. The design focuses on the energy consumption policy, the general non-periodic pattern, the data discarding strategy and the effect of duty cycle scheduling scheme. Through the simulation and evaluation, the performance of the new model is as expected and can adapt to various programs in WSN. Thus, the validity of the new algorithm is verified.
