The GDPR: A rule to rule them all
WannaCry. Petya. Security breaches are becoming bigger—and badder—forcing the security world to revamp their approach.
Once overseen by 50 individual laws, breach regulation as we know it will change with the arrival of the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Starting May 25, 2018, the GDPR’s strict new rules and sanctions will force companies operating in the European market to tie up loose ends in their data security—or find themselves face to face with some hefty fines.
So how can you prepare for this massive transition? In this RSAC virtual session, Sam Pfeifle, content director at IAPP, and Dennis Holmes, lawyer at PwC UK, team up to break down the GDPR’s breach notification requirements and what they mean for you.
