The Impact of Number of Cell on Throughput Performance of WiMAX Network
IEEE 802.16, also known as WiMAX (Worldwide interoperability for Microwave Access), is a new wireless access Technology for currently increasing demand of wireless high-speed broadband service. WIMAX provides wireless broadband to fixed and mobile terminals. It is one of the latest developments and considered as a 4G (Fourth Generation) technology. This paper is to evaluate the impact of number of cell on WIMAX network throughput performance, using simulation software program. WIMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) is a wireless communications standard designed to provide 30 to 40 Mbit/s data rates.
