Rapid Application Development (RAD) as a development technique has its emergence based within the materialistic arena. As a result individual ideologies and attention of its rationale and relevancy have led to suitable debate about its ample for large tangled Information Systems (IS) development. Even though RAD is being a rapidly accepted approach to IS development, existing literature does little to clarify the position and continues to question its suitability for large complex development projects. Opposite to published beliefs, a RAD type approach is being endorsed for a large complex IS that is currently being carried out within UK Regional Government.
