Cloud computing and virtualisation are now centre stage across the Asia-Pacific region. According to IDC Asia-Pacific, one-third of enterprises in the region now have a cloud-first strategy. This year will see the share of overall IT budgets spent on cloud services reach 26%.1 Asia-Pacific is leading the world in moving to cloud delivered via platform as a service (PaaS),2 and Frost & Sullivan found that more than half the enterprises it surveyed in the region plan to adopt multivendor, multicloud environments or hybrid IT in the next 18 months.
