Throughput Enhancement Using Synchronization and Three-Dimensional Resource Allocation
Emerging multimedia applications require more bandwidth and strict QoS requirements. To meet these in wireless personal area networks, WiMedia MultiBand-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (MB-OFDM) has been designed while consuming low-transmission power. In this paper, the authors increase the wireless bandwidth of the standard MB-OFDM scheme three times using device synchronization, and consider resource allocation policies to deal with the increased bandwidth. Then, they apply the proposed allocation policies with some operation rules to support prioritized QoS traffic.
