In this paper, the authors focus on determining the optimum transmission probability according to optimization criteria for two co-existing ad hoc networks: the primary network and the secondary network with Nakagami-m fading. The interference for each network node is modeled as a Gaussian random variable which is equal to the sum of the interference not only from its own network but also from the other network. Given the path loss exponent, node density and the radius of guard zone, based on stochastic geometry theory, the analytical per-node throughput expressions in each network are derived respectively. Optimal transmission probability are then determined respect to different optimization criteria.
