Today's position-sensible service relies on user's mobile device to ascertain the current location. This grants enormous users to access a curbed resource or furnish bogus alibis by betraying on their positions. To address this issue, the authors propose A Privacy-Preserving LocAtion proof Updating System (APPLAUS) in which collocated Bluetooth enabled mobile devices mutually bring forth location proofs and send informs to a location proof server. Periodically changed pseudonyms are used by the mobile devices to protect source position privacy from each other, and from the untrusted location proof server.
