With the advent of cloud computing several security and privacy challenges are put forth. To deal with many of these privacy issues, 'Processing the encrypted data' has been identified as a potential solution, which requires a Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) scheme. After the breakthrough work of Craig gentry in devising an FHE, several new homomorphic encryption schemes and variants have been proposed. However, all those theoretically feasible schemes are not viable for practical deployment due to their high computational complexities. In this paper, a variant of the DGHV's integer based Somewhat Homomorphic Encryption (SHE) scheme with an efficient public key generation method is presented.
