Light-Fidelity (Li-Fi) is the technology that transmits data through a method of 'Illumination'. The intensity of light varies at a very high rate and cannot be followed by human eye. In Li-Fi, the light can be switched on and off at high speeds. Here, LED's can be used for wireless data transmission. Li-Fi can be considered as a high-speed and economical adaptation of Wi-Fi based on the concept of Visible Light Communication (VLC) which is a medium that uses optical carrier for data transmission between 400-800 terahertz (375 nm). Li-Fi can be used in military, industrial as well as commercial applications. The prototype of this technology is designed in this paper.
