LEACH (Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy) is one of popular cluster-based structures, which has been widely proposed in wireless sensor networks. LEACH uses a TDMA based MAC protocol. The idea is to form cluster of sensor nodes based on signal strength and use the cluster-head as a router to forward data of other nodes in cluster to the base station. The data processing is performed at cluster-heads. LEACH is a dynamic clustering mechanism. In this paper, the authors analyzed the literature of LEACH related protocols using different platform like NS2, OMNET++ and then in different sections just briefing about those papers.
